Script for a play

Scene 1: The Wedding
(The scene opens with you and your friend standing together, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of a wedding venue. You're both dressed in formal attire, and the atmosphere is filled with joy and celebration.)

Me: "I'm so happy for you. You look beautiful."

Friend: "Thanks. I'm really excited to start this new chapter of my life."

Me: "I know. It's just that... I feel like everything is changing so fast. We're growing up, and our lives are taking different paths."

Friend: "I know what you mean. But I think this is what's best for me. I hope you can support me on this journey."

Me: "Of course, I'll always be here for you. You're one of my closest friends."

Friend: "I appreciate that. I know I'll need your support as I navigate this new chapter of my life."

Scene 2: Adjusting to Change
(The scene shifts to a coffee shop or park, where you and your friend are sitting together, catching up. It's been a few months since the wedding, and you're both adjusting to the new dynamics of your friendship.)

Me: "Hey, how's married life treating you?"

Friend: "It's been an adjustment, but I'm loving it. I'm learning to navigate this new role and balance my responsibilities."

Me: "That's great. I'm happy to see you're doing well. I have to admit, I've been feeling a little left behind. We used to do everything together, and now it feels like you're busy with your new life."

Friend: "I know what you mean. I'm sorry if it feels like I'm not making time for you. But I'm trying to figure out what works for me and my partner."

Me: "I understand. I just need some time to adjust to this new dynamic."

Friend: "Take all the time you need. I'm still the same person, and our friendship hasn't changed."

Scene 3: Finding New Perspectives
(The scene shifts to a moment of introspection, where you're reflecting on your friendship and your own life. You've had time to adjust to the changes, and you're starting to see things from a new perspective.)

Me: (to yourself) "Maybe this is an opportunity for me to grow and explore new things. Maybe I don't need to rely on my friend as much as I thought."

(Your friend enters, and you have a heart-to-heart conversation.)

Friend: "I've been thinking about what you said, and I realize that I have been busy with my new life. But I want you to know that our friendship is important to me, and I'm committed to making time for you."

Me: "Thanks. That means a lot to me. I'm happy to support you on this journey, and I look forward to seeing what's next for us."

Friend: "Me too. I'm excited to see where life takes us, and I'm grateful to have you by my side."
